THE SOUTH ISLAND TREATY
This government issued and pre-signed document was carried by Major Thomas Bunbury and Edward Marsh Williams to the South as far afield as Stewart Island. Edward Williams had helped to translate the Treaty into Maori from James Busby's 4th of February final English draft.
