QUEEN CHARLOTTE SOUND TREATY

This is the government issued and pre-signed Treaty document issued to Reverend Henry Williams and carried by him to Queen Charlotte Sound. Reverend Williams had translated James Busby's 4th of February final draft into the Maori language and read the Maori text to the assemblies at Waitangi of the 5th and 6th of February 1840.
